Objectifs : familiariser les étudiants avec différents aspects de l’étude des milieux marins : un bateau de recherche océanographique; les consignes de sécurité en mer; l’organisation matérielle d’une mission; le fonctionnement des différents appareils utilisés en mer; l’organisation scientifique d’une mission; les principales méthodes d’étude du milieu et des communautés biologiques; les particularités de l’estuaire maritime du Saint-Laurent et des organismes qui y vivent; et, finalement, le matériel de navigation (visite de la timonerie).

Objectives: This mission should allow students to become familiar with different aspects of the study of marine environments: an oceanographic research vessel; the safety precautions at sea; the material organization of a mission; the operation of various devices used at sea; the scientific organization of a mission; the main methods of study of the environment and biological communities; the peculiarities of the St. Lawrence Estuary and of its living organisms; and the navigation material (visit of the wheelhouse).
